AFTER THANKSGIVING “BALANCED” RECIPE

               CARLA’S PROTEIN & FIBER RECIPE

           use-  A Large Crock-Pot

           Ingredients- 2-3 LBS Turkey, Chicken, or Extra

                                  Lean Beef…

                                  1/2 cup- Lundberg Back Japonica

                                  Rice.

                                  1/2 cup Barley

                                  1/2 cup Brown Flax Seed

                                  1 - 2 LBS Broccolli (chopped)

                                  1- LB Spinach

                                  1 Can Diced Tomatoes

                                  Sqeeze 1/2 Lemon

                                  8- Cloves Garlic (browned & sauted

                                  in olive oil)

                                  1/2 cup “Braggs Liquid Aminos”

                                  Add…(Optional) Pepper, Onion

I start the night before with water 1/2 full in crock-pot on low setting, adding frozen chicken, this is to allow the chicken to flake easily and blend into recipe. (cook all meats before adding to crock).  The next morning add the rice, aminos and browned garlic. Let cook on low 2 hours, adding rest of ingredients. Cook on low for 1 hour…..Enjoy!!!!

 Healthy Thanksgiving vegetable dish

STIR-FRY BROCCOLLI

3 TBLS OLIVE OIL

8-10 GARLIC CLOVES (DICED)

1 TBLP PEPPER

SQUEEZE OF LEMON

IN A SAUCEPAN ADD OLIVE OIL AND BROWN THE GARLIC.

CUT BROCCOLLI INTO SMALL CHUNKS AND STIR FRY, ADDING MORE OLIVE OIL, SPRINKLE WITH PEPPER AND LEMON.

COVER THE PAN AND SIMMER ON LOW HEAT FOR 10 MINUTES…..YUMMY!!!

TAKE Wisdom By BALANCE:

1.   Believe you can succeed: Re-program your mind       for  success!!   Don’t expect Perfection.   Know that it will take time.  With persistence you will SUCCEED!!

2.  You have the AUTHORITY to take control over your life.  I can only give you the steps to take.  You must be the one to walk through the path of your life.

3.   LEARNING:  Be teachable and moldable.  Stay open to new things. Knowing that you don’t have all  the answers and are willing to search them out.  This    will give you TREMENDOUS growth in mind and body.
