 Knowledge & Understanding …………….Muscles & their Functions

Most people think that gaining muscle weight can only be achieved by lifting weights in the gym.
However, it is highly recommended that people use the gym and eat the right foods in order
to prevent muscles from getting damaged.
The basic thing to remember for muscle gain is to have a good knowledge of muscles and their functions.
Below are some tips that, if followed properly, http://www.mountainside-medical.com
can lead to efficient and quick muscle weight gain and prevention of muscle loss.

Have the Knowledge:
This is one of the first things that has to be done for proper muscle weight gain.
If a person has proper knowledge of the different kinds of muscles that are present in the body,
he or she can easily initiate the process of gaining muscle weight.

Knowing the muscles and learning various exercises: that help them expand are also very important.
A trainer can be consulted to give all of the information about “http://www.gainingweight.info/“”>how to gain weight</a>
how to gain weight and also to explain what the different types of muscles are and how they function.

Experts always suggest that: people looking to gain muscle should undergo the isolation exercise first.
This means that all of the larger muscles should be recognized and special attention should be paid
to them at the start of a workout.
After working on these muscles, the focus should be shifted to the smaller muscles.
For example, before starting out with a triceps exercise,
it is recommended that the chest is worked out first.
If the triceps are worked out first and then the person
goes on to the chest exercises,he or she does not have the capacity
to work out properly and these muscles go without a proper workout.

After the completion of the isolation exercise, it is recommended
that the attention is focused on the compound exercise. This exercise focuses
its attention on both types of muscles in the body.
These types of exercises are mostly compromised of push-ups,
which are very beneficial for the biceps, forearms, shoulders, and even the chest.
This exercise is recommended to come after the isolation exercise
because the bigger muscles take a longer time to get exhausted.

The last thing that has to be done for proper muscle weight gain
is getting sufficient rest. Getting adequate rest is essential for the muscles.
In fact, exercise and rest are the key factors that determine
the pace of the weight gain process.

Rest is very essential: because it gives muscles time to adapt
to the wear and tear that occur during exercise.

This needs to be followed by a good diet, which also helps in the muscle gain process.
A diet high in proteins is normally recommended to gain muscle and to
prevent damage to muscles or loss of muscles during exercise.

Happy and Healthy Trails…..

My journey to a Marathon started very innocently………….

” I am not an ATHLETE or a HEALTH NUT !!!

The kids were young and demanding. I needed space as I was a “stay at home” mom. My frustration lead to desperation. I needed an
outlet. My neighbor had the same lifestyle as me and we agreed to walking for an hour a day during the week days, before our families would wake up and the demands would start. This became a wonderful lifestyle change. I felt so much better! Wow, my own time. My attitude was positive when I would return home, my body felt much better and I was being consistent!! One of the most important things to this life style change was, I had found somebody I could count on to be ready and waiting to walk every morning! Even if I was tired, I knew my partner would be there and I was motivated to do my part.

This continued for about a year, then she moved. Since I had done this long enough, anytime I would stop for a week, my body would be yelling at me to get back out there, I found myself constantly searching for different partners to keep this thing going. It worked! After my walking for about a year and a half, one of my walking partners, that was also a runner, asked me if I wanted to do the L.A. marathon. I asked her if she was crazy? I told her that I was not an athlete and I don’t run! She said that her and her sister and her friend Carla, we’re going to just walk it for fitness sake and that she said she thinks I would do great. So, scared to death, off I went. That was 11 years ago. I was amazed that my body could do that. This challenge lead to much more as her friend. Carla and I started walking and Carla taught me about balanced nutrition and encouraged me to plan my next goal.

This has now become my hobby and I am very thankful for all I have learned, so I feel I need to share my journey to encourage other people searching for a more fit, happy & healthy life. I am 47 years old now and I am fabulously fit, Happy and Healthy!.
I continue to walk/jog/hike with a walking partner 5 days a week. I continue to enter Marathon’s/Ultra’s so that I motivate myself to continue my walking/aerobic routine. If I can do this, anybody can. So I challenge you to find a partner and plan your goal and you too will be Happy & Healthy!!

          HEAL for HEALTH

We need to HEAL in order to have HEALTH ….. Health reveals a balance in Body, Soul and Spirit.

A health-ful guideline to consider:

Help:

Help yourself first….The gift of health starts with a personal quest to be at your best.

Encourage:

Encouragement is done by renewing your mind to dream bigger than you . Look at

things not as they are, but as they can be.

Action:

Decide to take action in what you want and then stay with it, never deviating from

your course no matter how long it takes, or how long the road, until you have

                      accomplished it.

Love:

Live on verbal expression that promotes graditude, encouragement, kindness, recieving,

serving, effective, optimistic, hopeful, inspiring, imparting and improving.

Through :

Those who Walk about the past are going backward. Those who Walk about the present

are just maintaining. But those who Walk about the future are

growing through the window of opportunity.

Healing:

Head for healing as a life pursuit—As  your journey, goal, desire, love and desination.

To seek healng is a love walk— Love yourself  everyday by shaking off the old patterns

that made you sick…..adding joy and love in your in everything you do….

                                          FOR HEALTH’S SAKE…
